Marlane is a violinist, performer and music educator who is deeply committed to inspiring and nurturing the future generations of music makers to express themselves freely and creatively through their art.

After attending the Victorian College of The Arts Secondary School in Melbourne, and Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester (United Kingdom), Marlane travelled regularly to Germany and Switzerland, taking part in a number of masterclasses and short courses with renowned violinists such as Ivry Gitlis, Barnabas Keleman & Alissa Margulis.

As a freelance violinist, Marlane has toured with orchestras and chamber ensembles across Australia, Italy, Germany, The United Kingdom and China, and has been on the faculty for many of Australia’s leading music training programs.

 

Marlane Bennie has been performing regularly with the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra since 2020 and is a frequent mentor of the Young Mannheim Symphonists.
