Robert McMillan studied in Vienna and freelanced across Europe, Japan, Singapore, and New Zealand before returning to Australia in 2006. Whilst in Europe, Robert worked as Principal horn of the Graz Symphony Orchestra and guest artist with the Vienna Symphony. Highlights of Robert’s European travels included performances in the Concertgebouw with the Vienna Academy on Baroque Horn, Bruckner Symphonies with the Vienna Radio Orchestra on Wagner Tuba, and a memorable performance with Wolfgang Sawallisch and the Vienna Symphony on Vienna Horn. Currently Robert is working as a freelance musician in Melbourne and enjoys being a casual member of the MSO and Orchestra Victoria.
