Bursary application form
The Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra is committed to ensuring that talented young musicians who wish to further their engagement with historically informed performance are able to do so, regardless of their geographic location or financial circumstances. With very generous support from private donors we are able to provide bursaries for eligible applicants to attend the Young Mannheim Symphonists State Intensives and National Winter Academy.
There are two types of bursary:
Travel & Accommodation Bursary; and
Participation Fee Bursary.
It is possible to apply for both bursaries. The bursaries are assessed by a panel from the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra Management Team on a needs basis. The amount of each bursary is dependent on the circumstances of the applicant. All information provided on this Bursary Application Form is confidential.
Closing date for bursary applications: midnight on Sunday 22 November 2020 Applicants will be notified on Friday 27 November 2020
Eligibility
To be eligible for a bursary you must demonstrate financial need and be:
a dependent student; in which case your parent’s or guardian’s income will affect whether you can receive a bursary and how much you can receive. You will be required to submit your family’s tax income statements.
an independent student; in which case you support yourself fully through work and your own income will affect whether you receive a bursary and how much you can receive. You will be required to submit your tax income statements and/or Government Study Assist information.
no longer a student; in which case your own income will affect whether you receive a bursary and how much you can receive. You will be required to submit your tax income statements.
